"On paper Baroato 2nd should be good. I appreciate the staff helping me a lot, however, as a hotel the overall experience was not that great. The room was in the basement and suffered from awful humidity which meant even with the aircon on dry mode everything was wet - skins, sheets, floor etc. On my final night the humidity was unbearable and I checked out and flew back earlier than I originally expected. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in which has had this extreme humidity issue. If...

"The person who met us at the front desk was very friendly and had very good english! The rooms are small with a shared bathroom. They also had a nice downstairs to prepare food and some tables to eat at. Overall I would highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere simple and easy while you explore Seoul."

"The property was well situated near stations and fun places and the air con worked well and the room was a good size. The reception man was nice but incompetent. The bathroom was mouldy. I didnt like how my room was a thorough fair for staff when i wasnt around. They even took my bags when i was away and put them down stairs in recpetion only 2 hours after i had checked in! "I will start with the only negative, the stairs. It is on the 5th floor and there is no elevator. But the owner will assist with getting your bags to the room. The rest, is fabulous. The location is ideal. Steps away from the subway with all the activity of Hongdae a very short walk. But far enough to allow for a quiets night rest.
