"This is one of my favorite hotels, ever. Quiet, dark, authentic, traditional. Great breakfast (get the Japanese menu) great staff, great beer in the lobby, the rooms are fantastic, the private sauna is something you need to do for yourself. It’s a great location right near Bashamichi St with a great Starbucks across the street, konbini nearby, many stations and trains nearby, walking distance to the waterfront, Chinatown, great food and great bars. "Hi would highly recommend staying here as it is a very authentic Japanese experience. The tatami beds are surprisingly comfortable and we really enjoyed our time here, it’s close to Gotanda station and supermarket/ family mart are very close by. Please keep in mind that the walls are quite thin so its important to keep quiet to respect other guests, also you can hear the train as it goes past but that didn’t us at all. "

"Great location in Hase area of Kamakura. Easy walking distance to beach and temples. Good public transit near by. Clean and quiet location. Didn’t realize I’d have to share a toilet with several other rooms. My room had a shower, but my family had to use another on the first floor. It was locked when they wanted to use it and no staff around to assist. They ended up using mine, which was fine as we’re family, but it would have been easier if the room key worked for the showers too. "

"I once stayed in a traditional Japanese hotel. but this feels more like a hostel. The rooms are very small and so is the shared spaces. This place is good for solo travel or a quick night stay. The things I enjoyed the most was the comfortable mattresses and the ability to drop my luggage off in the morning. "

"The unit I stayed in had slight differences than the unit pictured, but it was located in the same building complex. I really enjoyed the convenience of the location - easy access to a Seven Eleven and near public transit routes. The building is about halfway between Ebisu Station and Shibuya Station, a bit longer than a 7 minute walk but still very close to everything. The stairs in the unit are very steep to get up to the bed but a pleasant stay!"
