"This was hands down the best hotel we stayed at. From the moment you walk in you can feel the calm vibes. The hotel is immaculate and so very clean. The staff is 5 stars right off the bat, the lovely receptionist walked us around the property showing us all the amenities. Including the spa which we used and had an incredible massage at. Our room was a studio with a great view of the River. The area was perfect as well walking distance from some great stores and resturants. "

"So many things to love about the GA Palace Hotel. The room and bed was really comfortable with a large bathroom (double sinks), great restaurant, day spa and pool. We were only there for two nights, however, choose to eat meals all meals at the hotel restaurant or use room service, apart from the lunch we had in the Douro Valley. "

All the staff were wonderful! The very central location was awesome and made the days easy. Such a short walk to the river, churches, the market, everything! Great hotel!"
