"There were no surprises when we arrived and checked out the house. It was very thoughtful that there were some food items for our arrival. Everything worked fine and the owner was responsible for a couple of maintenance issues. The yard lights did not come on the last two nights and we missed them. Getting around the area by walking is a little sketchy because the roadway is narrow. We found the ferry stop 10 minutes from the house very convenient."

"We had a great time. The house was charming and very comfortable. It is convenient to restaurants coffee shops and the grocery store are all within walking distant. The house was spacious and very nice. Typical European layout. I would definitely stay here again. Como is so beautiful. Blows Hawaii away. Sorry Kapalua, Maui you are now #2 in my heart. Although Sansei Restaurant in Maui is the best restaurant in the world hands down."

"Pretty property in beautiful area. Needs either ceiling fans or commercial portable fans in each room, as there is no air conditioning and the villa can get quite hot."

"Luigi was very helpful in settling us in. The room and bathroom are very basic…nothing fancy. There is no mirror in the bedroom to help to get ready. There is no counter space in the bathroom either. However it was clean."

"My wife and I stayed here for close to a week and we loved our stay. The scenery was beautiful and the private garden and walkway made it very easy to visit the town without having to walk in the street. My wife particularly enjoyed the views from each level of the villa and the many amenities offered. The kitchen is fully equipped (although oddly without plates) and so we were able to have a dinner we prepared ourselves, with the amazing view to complete the experience. We will definitely have...

"The property and views were wonderful and Mr. Luigi was fantastic. PLEASE do yourself a favor and enter the address into Google or Apple Maps and DO NOT rely on the map within the VRBO app. It is wrong. This Villa is up the hill in Perledo and not very accessible walking. We made due but it was certainly not where VRBO leads you to believe it is."

"It was great to look at the lake. Just be prepared for a lot of stairs and narrow streets with a lot of turns. Some of the issues were that there was still some food left in the fridge, the garbage wasn't clean, the hot water finishes pretty quickly!"

"Our extended family (three generations) stayed for a week at the holiday house. We had a wonderful stay. It is a historic home so there are lots of quirks to remember, but all of them made sense. The kitchen and dining area have everything that you need to make meals for the entire family. The hostess Betty is delightful-- very helpful and has an entire binder of recommendations for anything you'd like to do. Her recommendations are excellent as she's hosted many families. "My biases are that I love older architecture. I would guess that this villa is well over a 100 years old and they have maintained the character while modernizing the kitchen and bathrooms. The views are beautiful. It did have a few minor issues that I would expect with an older villa which in no way affected our stay"
