"There were no surprises when we arrived and checked out the house. It was very thoughtful that there were some food items for our arrival. Everything worked fine and the owner was responsible for a couple of maintenance issues. The yard lights did not come on the last two nights and we missed them. Getting around the area by walking is a little sketchy because the roadway is narrow. We found the ferry stop 10 minutes from the house very convenient."

"Our extended family (three generations) stayed for a week at the holiday house. We had a wonderful stay. It is a historic home so there are lots of quirks to remember, but all of them made sense. The kitchen and dining area have everything that you need to make meals for the entire family. The hostess Betty is delightful-- very helpful and has an entire binder of recommendations for anything you'd like to do. Her recommendations are excellent as she's hosted many families. "There’s no question it’s a beautiful home overlooking Lake Como, with a charm that is remjniscent of something out of a Harry Potter novel. Unfortunately, the home itself self has a fair amount of deferred maintenance. Lightbulbs were burned out in master bathroom, the door handle on the washing machine was broken, certain shutters didn’t work, there is no air conditioning in any room and some of the wiring is unlikely to be up to code, although I dont know that for sure.
