"We booked a superior double room which was lovely, shower was a brilliant pressure! The bed was very squishy though so overnight if your partner moves so do you and if you have a bad back it will not be comfortable! Breakfast was nice plenty of options we had the burgers for our evening meal which was delicious and the drinks were very reasonable. Friendly gastro pub atmosphere with wonderfully friendly staff. The walk round the reservoir is walking distance from the hotel and we had a good long day doing the reservoir walk. Would definitely stay again and do the spa "

"Lovely cottage. Secluded spot, very quiet and great views. Very well set up for dogs - great having a fenced field for them to run around safely. Bowls, balls, dog towels, poo bags, etc provided. Very comfy for the humans too!"

"We had issues with leaking and didn’t have a sofa or bed for the 2nd night. The lady we’d been in comms with throughout check in and who had been texting us all the rules then totally ignored us. I’ve since been told her phone wasn’t working which I find strange. And then no attempt to make up for a spoilt night away. I’d expect at the price to be compensated for not having a bed to sleep in or sofa to sit on. We only stayed as it is in such a remote area we had no option. There were so many rules, it made it unpleasant, I don’t know what they think people are going to do. It’s my 2nd time renting on a working farm and it will be the last, both times felt very unwanted."

"Perfect property for a large group holiday. The barn was in a beautiful location, with countryside walks on the doorstep and a lovely pub not too far away. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "

"We decided to stay at the cabin as it was relatively close to Alten towers. The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. On arrival we noticed there was a code lock but hadn't got a code to open the door. I called the owner and she was abrupt and gave me the code. The kids then wanted to go into the hot tub but found it was hardly bubbling and obviously wasn't working properly. Later that night i noticed there was no logs for the log burner. I text messaged the owner and got no reply, i text messaged the following night too and still never got a reply (Same number as i called before) so we didn't get the log burner experience with the kids. On trying to get our deposit back we got no reply from the owner. After getting accused of not checking my emails etc it was found she had typed in my email wrong from the start. Hence the delay in the return deposit. If you are renting you have to be approachable (Even say hi) and be sure all the facilities advertised 100% work as this makes all the difference when looking for accommodation. "
