"A lot bigger than i realised. It was a great suprise. Good size room, big shower room. Where the hotel shines is by doing all the simple thing right. - high pressure shower - 2 chairs in room - bowl of sweets - comfy king size bed - good quality pillows - good soundproofing - comfortable temp. - friendly, helpful staff - good quality, fresh breakfast I thoroughly enjoyed staying. My only slight criticism is that the otherwise extensive food menu only has two fish dishesand not as varied as the meat. Otherwise, food was really good and the service excellent."

"Lovely cottage. Secluded spot, very quiet and great views. Very well set up for dogs - great having a fenced field for them to run around safely. Bowls, balls, dog towels, poo bags, etc provided. Very comfy for the humans too!"

"A very pleasant stay in a beautiful area. A good location for walks in the south of the peak district, particularly up to Hen's Cloud and the Roaches, Gradbach Mill and Lud's Church, and a little further away Miller's Dale & Chee Dale gorge. Nice to have a welcoming couple of slices of homemade cake and a jug of fresh milk on arrival. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mobile service (EE) is not the best from within the cottage through the solid stone walls but better upstairs. The TV has all the usual freeview channels. No wifi available."

"Used this home as a base for a weekend in the Peak District, with 5 other couples. The building is stunning, kitchen is well stocked with appliances and other items. 2 fridge/freezers which were handy. Lots of spaces to relax and the hot tub was fantastic. WiFi is poor in wider areas of the house but excellent within the room of the house the modem is in. However, this is expected in a building of this size and didn’t ruin the weekend at all. Fanastic space to celebrate with friends for. Grown up weekend and in a great position for the peaks. Great Parking for 6 couples and close to leek."

"We had issues with leaking and didn’t have a sofa or bed for the 2nd night. The lady we’d been in comms with throughout check in and who had been texting us all the rules then totally ignored us. I’ve since been told her phone wasn’t working which I find strange. And then no attempt to make up for a spoilt night away. I’d expect at the price to be compensated for not having a bed to sleep in or sofa to sit on. We only stayed as it is in such a remote area we had no option. There were so many rules, it made it unpleasant, I don’t know what they think people are going to do. It’s my 2nd time renting on a working farm and it will be the last, both times felt very unwanted."

"Perfect property for a large group holiday. The barn was in a beautiful location, with countryside walks on the doorstep and a lovely pub not too far away. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "

"We decided to stay at the cabin as it was relatively close to Alten towers. The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. On arrival we noticed there was a code lock but hadn't got a code to open the door. I called the owner and she was abrupt and gave me the code. The kids then wanted to go into the hot tub but found it was hardly bubbling and obviously wasn't working properly. Later that night i noticed there was no logs for the log burner. I text messaged the owner and got no reply, i text messaged the following night too and still never got a reply (Same number as i called before) so we didn't get the log burner experience with the kids. On trying to get our deposit back we got no reply from the owner. After getting accused of not checking my emails etc it was found she had typed in my email wrong from the start. Hence the delay in the return deposit. If you are renting you have to be approachable (Even say hi) and be sure all the facilities advertised 100% work as this makes all the difference when looking for accommodation. "
