"Exactly what we were looking for! The Shire was perfect spot for our quick family get away. Close to everything but entertainment right on site. Kayaking the river - finding the old dam/waterfall, saw wildlife (deer, geese), fishing, ending the day in the hot tub then dinner around the fire. Holly was great help with ideas for entertaining a 14 yr old and things to do. Highly recommend!"

"This cottage is exactly what you expect a southern lakefront carriage to be. The space was perfect for the 6 of us. Each couple had a bedroom and there was plenty of space to sit and visit or share a meal. The back porch overlooking Lake Guntersville is screened in and such a wonderful place to enjoy nature with a good book. "Enjoyed our stay at Tiny Bear Paw! Perfect for a couple just looking for a quiet place to stay. Clean and well equipped with more than a normal rental. The bed was extremely comfortable (which is a big deal to me!) Would definitely stay here again. Of note, our GPS was off slightly and told us we had arrived at the location but we were not.
