"This place was perfect for our little getaway. We saw deer the first morning we were there and enjoyed walking down to the creek. The rooms were nicely furnished and very comfortable. The gas fireplace heated up the cabin very quickly. We loved both porches and spent a lot of time on both. We also enjoyed the firepit area. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware. We will back."

"Exactly what we were looking for! The Shire was perfect spot for our quick family get away. Close to everything but entertainment right on site. Kayaking the river - finding the old dam/waterfall, saw wildlife (deer, geese), fishing, ending the day in the hot tub then dinner around the fire. Holly was great help with ideas for entertaining a 14 yr old and things to do. Highly recommend!"

"This cottage is exactly what you expect a southern lakefront carriage to be. The space was perfect for the 6 of us. Each couple had a bedroom and there was plenty of space to sit and visit or share a meal. The back porch overlooking Lake Guntersville is screened in and such a wonderful place to enjoy nature with a good book. Parking was not an issue either as the driveway is long and had plenty of room for our three trucks and two boats. This is our second time booking this property and we hope...

"Enjoyed our stay at Tiny Bear Paw! Perfect for a couple just looking for a quiet place to stay. Clean and well equipped with more than a normal rental. The bed was extremely comfortable (which is a big deal to me!) Would definitely stay here again. Of note, our GPS was off slightly and told us we had arrived at the location but we were not. "We had a wonderful stay at The Garden Cottage. It certainly lives up to its name! We loved walking the property and seeing the beautiful plants and a little wildlife. The location is excellent because it is close to town, Brow Park (gorgeous sunsets!!), and DeSoto Park. The cottage itself is adorable and the perfect size.
