"This house was beautiful and the pool was fantastic but the road to the house was very dangerous and guests definitely need a four wheel drive to get to the house. The house was a bit spooky at nights. Top floor was very noisy and everything shook when you moved and lots of noise from rats in the walls, and birds and shutters moving... so a bit scary for my taste. "Villa Marinella is perfectly located to explore this part of Sicily: San Vito Lo Capo, Erice, Segesta, La Tonnara, Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello++. There are fantastic beaches close by for swimming and snorkelling. Proximal to some fantastic places like the Zingaro Reserve, Scopello, Salt Marshes on the West Coast and Erich. "The villa is very clean and comfortable and the hosts keep in touch so that you feel very secure throughout the booking process. It's situated off the main road amongst a beautiful backdrop of mountains and sea. It's airy and cool even in high temperatures. In terms of the local area - there are some wonderful beaches all around but you will need a car as it is off a main road and the local eateries are a short car drive away."

"The villa is pleasant enough situated just down the road from the village. We had several issues with it when we arrived but they were quickly sorted out by Claudia and her father who were both endlessly helpful. "You will find that the host is wonderful and very accommodating. He takes great care in maintaining his property and the grounds. The garden surrounding the house are like an oasis. The property around the house had many seating areas wonderful for entertaining. Although you do need a car to get around, we would highly recommend this property."

"Hanny was a gracious host. Her property is beautifully maintained and the house was very clean. The view is spectacular and the crystal clear water is just a few steps away. I went in later February and the water was refreshing. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay again. "

"We were delighted with our choice of Marina Di Petrolo. The hotel is bright, smart and very clean. Our family room for my wife, daughter and I was a very good size, nicely decorated and smart. The staff were so nice and friendly at all times, and were always willing to help. We were grateful for the wonderful room cleaning staff who tidied and cleaned our rooms every day. There was an excellent Italian breakfast option every day, including freshly-made coffee of your choice. The location is not completely central but all the main areas of the town are easily accessible by foot, which is better to do anyway! Nevertheless there's a spectacular view of the bay from both the breakfast room and our own room. We didn't use the swimming pool because it was winter, but it looked nice. It would have been nice to have had the option to have meals other than breakfast, but it wasn't difficult to find other places around town (including a terrific pizza delivery place directly opposite!). We would love to come back to Sicily and if we are in this part of the island, Marina di Petrolo will be a definite place to revisit."
