"I have always wanted to visit Rye after l heard about it on the radio. I was not disappointed. The Ship Inn staff were very welcoming, the food was lovely and also the atmosphere, you felt that the staff were happy in their work. We had our rather large dog with us, who settled quickly to his different surroundings. Also a sausage treat now and then was welcomed. "Disappointing stay (Joss room) which was a shame as location was perfect for me. Shower was broken, was offered communal shower but on close inspection I decided not to use. Blind in room doesn’t close properly, lots of light coming in, very noisy fountain out front which you can still hear with windows closed. Very poor Wi-Fi. Pub itself was lovely, staff friendly, no food on Mondays though."
