"I'm giving it a 4.9 out of 5 stars only because of the hot drinking water in the breakfast area. This seems to be a problem in most hotels. There are 3 carafes, one for regular coffee, one for decaf, and one for hot water. As someone who can only drink hot water, not coffee or tea for health reasons, it absolutely drives me nuts that a hotel can't designate the hot water carafe for hot water only! It's GROSS to take a sip of your water and it tastes like coffee because they are using a carafe that has been used for coffee! That was my only complaint. "

"Hotel Rapids was a wonderful hotel to stay in! The staff was all super friendly and when we had to switch rooms because of a security issue they offered to help us out with moving our stuff to the new room. I love that they were so approachable about things and made sure the stay was as comfortable as it could be. The only complaints we really had were that we wished the showerheads were adjustable and that the mattress in our room probably needs be replaced as we sank into the middle area of the mattress and the outside edges were still nice and firm."

"I would absolutely stay here again. The bed wasn’t amazing but comfortable enough to get a full nights sleep. Staff was very nice. Decent breakfast options. Room was big and clean. The pool and hot tub were fun for the kiddo especially with how cold it was outside while there"

"A quaint yurt set about 300 feet from another yurt that presumably the owners reside in. It has a microwave, stove, toaster, grill, and double shower head shower! The bed was lovely as was the fireplace. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the propane heater for cold nights. Perfect for two adults looking to relax. Lots of local things to do such as music bingo and trivia at the local breweries. "

"Wonderful place. Awesome spot to look at the river flowing by. Awesome breeze off the lake and river. Want to come back in the summer time to experience this place. It has to be so special!! Highly recommend renting here. "

"Comfortable and reliable room. Set your temperature early as it's easier to cool the room than to heat being middle of winter. Otherwise executed stay to my expectations."

"My two school age boys and I stayed one night to attend a wrestling tournament the following morning. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff was friendly and actively enaged in conversation when I was in the lobby. We go to Grand Rapids a few times each year for wrestling, this will be "My Place" to go."
