"Quiet neighborhood within walking distance of York sights. Breakfast was delicious, but it cost £15 per person. The cook staff was wonderful. Two small problems… be sure to tell them in advance if you need a parking spot. We almost didn’t get one. It was £10 per night for parking with the hotel. It would have cost more in the nearby lot. Also, no one went in our room to freshen the dishes or towels. All that said, it was clean and comfortable and in a great location. "

"We had a wonderful 3-night stay and Helene was the perfect host. The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed. The pre-ordered breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect as a base for everywhere we wanted to visit in Yorkshire and right next to Pickering centre. Would certainly highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. "A great welcome by Karen into their stunning home with tea and biscuits in the residents sitting room! Our bedroom was very well furnished and excellent taste in decor with pieces of antique furniture. Very comfortable bed, super large bathroom with amenities.
