"We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"Beautiful property in quiet area. The apartment is well appointed and plenty of space for 2-4 people. We especially enjoyed the large patio and beautiful views. For those that don’t rent a car, the walk into Varenna is almost two miles and had some stairs. The walk itself has many sights but would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Cabs are available but you need to call first. They are not readily available in town. The office staff is very welcoming and accommodating- they helped us...

"The bathroom is very tiny and hard to do anything such as washing your hair, combing your hair etc. There were cobwebs all over the ceiling of the bathroom (including in the shower) all of which is quite low so it was not cleaned properly. The entire unit smelled like someone had been smoking cigarettes and there was a bad odor in the bedroom. It advertises free parking but it is only free parking overnight. We got a ticket because that wasn’t mentioned but thankfully the host agreed to pay...
