"Lovely pool area and polite staff, unfortunately bins in the rooms had not been emptied from previous guests. Paid for late check out to use the pool area and would say this was worth it. breakfast fresh made and very good."

"Have stayed here before and would happily return. Staff are really helpful and friendly, and the food- we had breakfast and dinner - is tasty and plentiful. The whole place is clean and well-looked after and almost feels out of place in a town as run down as Blaenavon. We love the sauna, a bit of a treat after a long day out. "Our room was beautiful 5* Luxury. We encountered an issue the first night, not the fault of the hotel, however when notified they went out of their way to investigate and resolve the issue. In the interim, they offered us another room and partial refund if we wanted it. "The hotel exceeded our expectations, we didn't expect 4-5 star service from the budget hotel with such low price, and we read through the previous reviews, so we really expected an old traditional place rather than modern network hotels. However it was better than in the reviews. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. It's incredible how 1 woman can cook so many delicious meals for guests. The owners are such hardworking people! The room was very clean. So actually for this low price we got a clean room, hot water, cosy bed, delicious British breakfast. The only drawback was the internet speed, it was very slow, but we stopped there for the hiking and exploring nature, so low internet speed could be a part of the whole plan to get rest of city civilisation. It was a bit chilly in the room but we asked the owner and he immediately brought us an additional heater, we didn't turn it on though because it wasn't that bad. "

Beautiful barn conversion in the heart of the Brecon Beacons

Comfortable cottage tucked away

"We enjoyed our stay here in a very confirtable cottage tucked away in the countryside. The beds were particularly comfortable. The hosts communicated well and we really enjoyed tge free range eggs they left us from their chickens. Plenty of birds and very dark so great for stars if it is clear."

Clean and well equipped.

"Very clean and well equipped. Check in information good. Getting information on how to check out at 1:55 in the morning was less than helpful as it woke us up. We have to leave some alerts on as husband receives medical alerts overnight. It may not be a problem for those who can switch a do not disturb on. Also had to message to request an internet password for the medical monitoring. Owner was very helpful and provided it straight away but it would be helpful to have it available if internet is included as there was no signal in the accommodation at all. Would be lovely in winter as it appears to have underfloor heating which we were unable to turn off. Kitchen and hallway floors were very hot when you walked on them. Not great last night when it was about 18 degrees but would be lovely at any other time. "
