"We booked this Riad for our quick impromptu trip to Fez for coupe of days. We had a great experience staying at Le Grand Alcazar - Riad is beautiful, clean, has stunning architecture and convenient located to Fez Medina. It’s walking distance to major sightseeing: Blue gate, Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Attarine Madra and more. Staff were very friendly, especially YUSUF! Yusuf is your go to person for anything you need, he can help you with booking day trip, recommendation for food, can bring you charger if your forgot yours, you name it and he will make it happen for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Overall great location, great place, nice view from terrace, lots of vegetarian options for food near by. I highly recommend this place. "

"Just off a busy street of souks, down some quiet alleys, this riad starts gives a very unassuming impression that is quickly subverted once you pass through its door into the palatial lobby. In comparison to other Moroccan cities, the riads of Fes have a grander feel with high, reaching ceilings, but this is above and beyond the others I have seen, with luxury in every detail. The space itself was beautiful, the room we had was lovely (pics in the listing are accurate). We made use of the hammam and spa services and would recommend those as well. Sitting in the common area after our massages, drinking tea while the impossibly long, light curtains swayed gently in the air currents was one of the most relaxing experiences in recent memory. While we didn’t eat there for dinner, we had drinks at the bar on the roof for sunset and by the fountain in the evening and if you’re through exploring the city, these are great options to unwind. All in all, we were incredibly impressed with the riad and would stay again in a heartbeat. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Riad Mazar in Fes. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with our bags to and from the taxi, which was such a thoughtful touch. The building itself is absolutely stunning and has been beautifully renovated. Our room was spacious and elegantly decorated, making it a lovely retreat after exploring. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast – everything was homemade and traditional, truly a feast to start the day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind from the hustle and bustle of Fes’s lively medina. Highly recommended!"

"2nd time staying here, perfect hotel, clean, quiet, beautiful room, comfortable bed, good food especially Friday special cous cous was delicious just like homemade and Moroccan dessert was also delicious. One negative: not a good experience at the spa- the steam room didn’t work properly, which is the whole point of hammam- you need to spend time in the hot steam room before the scrub for the best results. And when I tried to tell that to the attendant- she wouldn’t even listen and denied that anything was wrong with the steam! That was really upsetting!!!"
