"The property was just as expected and perfect for us on our 18 day holiday in Christchurch. The weather was terrible, but the cottage was warm and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our things and we were able to entertain friends and family. Even though the surrounding area isn't inspiring, we were amazed how quiet it was, and the closeness of public transport was good. "Had a too short stay at this lovely cottage. Furnishings were soft, fluffy and warm. Excellent supply of kitchen staples, far more than usual. Place was very clean, had big comfy beds. The hosts were very friendly and helpful."

"It was a nice way to end the day, long drive and then in quiet of outskirts of Christchurch. Lovely to have a robe to wear, comfortable, great to have Netflix, great shower, all amenities plus milk, bread, really enjoyed. Thanks."

"We were unaware it was only 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds... but worked just fine because the boys had sleeping bags on one bed. Dishwasher was not functioning safely with drawers unable to take weight so we chose to hand wash our dishes. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay."

"Nice and spacious, bed was comfortable and it had a well equipped kitchen, the walk into town is about 25 minutes mostly along the river, so very pleasant, off street parking is a bonus, we enjoyed our stay. Main negative is, there was a horrible damp smell, we discovered mid week, if we kept the bathroom door shut, it was a lot better "

"This was a Victorian Cottage, with beautiful gardens and a wonderful location. I loved staying in this very historic home. Far away from the maddening crowd, this was a peaceful place to spend 3 nights. The birds were our favorite entertainment. Charming Lyttleton is just a short drive down the waterfront road and Christchurch is a beautiful drive from the cottage. Lot's of room, comfortable eat-in kitchen. easy place to relax in. "

"We only stayed for a night and the cottage was good for us. There are lovely grounds and it is very peaceful and private. Everything was provided that we required for a short stay. Being able to bring our dog was a bonus. "

"Tons of space and all amenities make this house a wonderful place to stay. A very pleasant rural spot with nice mountain outlook. Friendly and very helpful owner. The house is immaculate and has everything needed for stay of any duration. Oxford township (restaurants, bars & galleries) is close, as is the Waimakariri Gorge. All up a great stay. "

"Simple, functional space in a quiet reserved farming area. The cottage had everything we needed, and it was just a short drive to Rangiora. David brought us fresh-baked bread, which was fantastic. We ran into some unexpected health issues and David was extraordinarily kind and helpful."

"We enjoyed our stay in the property. It was well equipped, had very comfortable beds, and was in a good location. Bachcare, the agent, were responsive, when required. The only negatives were the intermittent hot water in the shower (everywhere else the hot water was fine) and the very neglected garden area."

"The place was clean and well appointed. The car park is very small and not easy to use. The screen door is difficult to unlock.N Brighton is not a very exciting place "

"It started by being difficult to get a reply from the owner while booking. On arrival,we were not expected. The owner did arrive, apologised for the mix up and made an effort to clean it, but we just wanted to relax after a 4 hour drive on Christmas Eve. He perhaps didn't have enough time to clean properly because every area was dirty from floors, to shower to kitchen items and the fridge had expired food in it. It also felt uncomfortable with personal items: medications in fridge and legal...
