"The place is wonderful with two bathrooms and a great view. We were here with four adults and one toddler, which was great. Our toddler explored the place and loved it (lots of space to roam). The floor heating in the bathrooms was great in the morning. We had a fantastic time."

"This is a beautiful, large and spacious home with breathtaking views of the Remarkables. We loved our stay and particularly The Butler's guide to the local activities/ restaurants etc. The location was great for us - we hired e-bikes and rode around the trails most days. The clubhouse restaurant at Jacks Point and The Farmhouse at Hanleys Farm are both great options very close. 20 minutes drive to Queenstown and only 10 minutes from the airport all make for a very easy stay. Highly recommend this home."

"Ida Cottage was perfect. Beautifully renovated house at the end of a cul de sac overlooking paddocks and sheep with views to the mountains. Walking distance to the supermarket and cafe. Duncan has thought of everything a guest might need - comfortable beds with high quality linen, masses of fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen. Fast WiFi, efficient A/C and heating. We loved it. Perfect for two people as a base to fish the surrounding rivers and explore Mavora Lakes. "

"The property was clean and tidy during our stay. There are basic kitchen utensils if you need to cook a simple meal. A new shower has also been installed since the last review. Aroha was a kind and friendly host. I recommend this unit for travellers stopping over for a night to rest before heading to their next destination. "

"Honestly this is an amazing hotel, and we definitely recommend. It is a bit pricey but if you are looking for a relaxed break, this is definitely the hotel you want to go to. All other hotels are more convenient for doing activities as you are closer to town, though this is an amazing hotel to just take a break, or for holiday home if you have a big family. The staff here are honestly so helpful and treat you like family, they all take care of you to your personalised likings. This is also the cleanest hotel i’ve ever stayed in, along with breathtaking views right near the lake. Food is amazing too, along with helpful amenities such as the gym and sauna. There is also quite a lot to do here , you can go to the jetty where you see breathtaking views along with a hike around this area, you can go to the library, go to the gym, and much more. I would also like to say that the massages at this place are honestly amazing and definitely recommend getting it if you are staying at Matakauri. Otherwise, this is an amazing hotel, it is a bit pricey but compared to all other hotels in queenstown this is the best one and there is no doubt about that. Here at Rosewood Matakauri you defined get what you paid for, along with kindness from the staff, always checking up on you!
