"Brian and Lucy, thank you so much for being such lovely/generous hosts and for sharing your beautiful beachside casita with us! In all our years of traveling, Casita Tortuga is definitely our favorite spot! The casita was spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped, and has the most gorgeous views of the Sea of Cortez. It is the perfect destination for a couple looking to get away from the busy crowds of Cabo San Lucas to relax and a prime location for exploring the many beauties and hidden beaches located on the East Cape. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise each morning from the front porch along with the sights and sounds of watching the mobula rays jump, twist, turn, flip, and flop atop the bay each day. We were even lucky enough to watch a humpback whale one morning just offshore as it repeatedly slapped the water with its large flippers. The kayaks were a perfect complement for exploring the crystal-clear waters and paddling out along the shore was definitely one of the highlights from our trip. Unfortunately, the days went by way too fast, and now we’re left dreaming of when we can come back for another visit. "

"Casa Los Arcos is a gem of a spot. The huge home and humble casita have plenty of room for three families (we had 11 total). The separation of space was great, and all the rooms were comfortable and well furnished. The backup generator was great when others on the beach lost electricity one evening. The wrap-around patio is a great feature. It offers plenty of room to be outside without being in the direct sun, perfect for reading and meals. The pool was excellent, and the beach provided quick access to great snorkeling.One cautionary point for those considering this spot is that the road to Punta Pescadero is rough. A Jeep or similar, heavier-duty SUV is more comfortable (though not required) than a simple crossover. This is a great place to hunker down for lazy days in the water. We needed to drive more than we planned, and would have preferred not to have to drive that road as much. "

"This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. It is quite upscale and the best lodging option in La Ventana. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The views are amazing. It is quiet and clean."

The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. The property offers a relaxing atmosphere with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. With horses and friendly dogs on-site, it felt like a true retreat into nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge in a serene, thoughtfully designed environment."

"We stayed 2 nights and loved this place! The rooms are great, each with a huge balcony and ocean view. It is quiet, very private, great for couples. Service was absolutely amazing! Food was great (above all breakfast) and restaurant prices were very good considering the hotel is middle of nowhere. It tends to get very windy in certain months so plan accordingly. And it is hard to get to! But you can make it in a regular car (we did). There are only dirt roads and they are rough. Go through El Cardonal (even if coming from Bariles or Cabo), that road is somewhat better. Apple maps suggests that route whereas Google wants to take you directly. Or rent 4x4 ;) "

"A fine property with friendly management. La Ventana/El Sargento is a premier kiteboarding and wingfoiling destination, so it that's what you're here for, this is a very good spot because of its large stretch of beach open for guests only. That makes for less crowded water, which reduces collisions and accidents with tangled lines and less experienced boarders. The public areas farther to the south have many more kites and foils. This property also offers gear and lessons through independent and experienced instructors; also whale watching tour boats can pick you up on the beach by arrangement. I caught sunrise on the beach here every day. A downside of the property is that beyond breakfast, there are no food options, but that is not really a big deal because not too far away, by walking up or down the beach, there are good and affordable restaurants. With a car or farther walking (along the dusty main road), there are many good (even excellent) restaurants "in town"; small grocery stores also have food you can keep in your room in the small fridge. The township area is generally safe because it is in the best interests of the locals and other powers-that-be not to upset the tourist & windsport economy that is the lifeblood of this area. Overall, a fine experience here and if I were to come back to this part of Baja, I'd gladly stay here again."

"I love this little beach hotel. I walk out of my front door to a beautiful view of the sea and hundreds of kite surfers and foilers enjoying life. The hotel owner and staff are all very friendly, making everything easy. The convenience of the bar and food on site is a big plus as well. I would definitely stay here again."
