"Fantastic place. Newly updated and nice and clean. Nothing super special, but who wants to stay in your room all day when you’re in such a beautiful area. Very close to the beach, places to eat, etc. Used it as a jumping point for the airport, even though it was a pretty good distance away. Definitely recommend. Be aware this is an older style motel where your room opens up to the outside and your car is parked out there."

"Very clean beautiful chalet-style cottage. Great location to launch from while exploring the Leelenau Penninsula. Wall controls for lighting and overhead fan not labeled, resulting in some difficulty figuring things out. No Wi-Fi available, or at least not communicated to us if it was present."

"A private, beautifully appointed place on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. Access to both South Bar Lake and Lake Michigan was very convenient. Privacy and quiet were stellar, only interrupted by soothing waves. We would recommend Sunset Suite without reservation and in fact, we’ve already reserved for next year"
