"We came for a wedding and had a lovely stay. G ot the tail end of Hurricane Helene and were high and dry. The beach is lovely. I had for gotten how much I enjoy Atlantic beaches. There is also a pool for those who don't want sand between their toes! The unit was well stocked and had everything you would need to cook a meal. I hope to come back to Emerald Isle!"

"While this property isn't right on the water, there's a great little walkway directly to the beach access. We happened to stay while a cyclone ripped through the area, so keep in mind that this walkway can get flooded during the rainy season. "The bedroom with the canopy bed was beautiful. It was so comfortable! The plants were a nice touch also. The house was well stocked. Since our vacation was during the Thanksgiving holiday we decided to cook our meal there. There was nice cookware available. We had plenty of cleaning supplies & laundry supplies on hand. "The week had everything. We cooked meals, walked to the beach, hosted, played cards, reconnected… and it was all made possible through this amazing home. The stunning kitchen/living room was the perfect hangout area for when we weren’t at the beach. The garden is so stunning, we had many friends stop by including; deer, turtles, herons and other birds, just so much wildlife! Would stay again. "

"The home is just a beautiful as the pictures. It is bigger than it looks. The weather was not great the first few days due to a weather front that sat over North Carolina but once it cleared we spent a lot of time at the beach which was just a short walk. I had a couple questions for the hosts and received prompt response. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. We will definitely come back."

"My family (6 adults and two dogs) really enjoyed our stay at Prior Engagement. Matt and Hilary made the check-in and check-out process easy and we found the rental to be well equipped. We've rented plenty of home on the Outer Banks and this is the first with a complete set of high quality pots and pans! The fenced back yard was wonderful for letting the dogs run and the area under the house was beautiful at night with the hanging lights. The location was ideal and just a short walk to the beach...

"An amazing place the sunshine house was clean great neighborhood golf cart made travel to beach, pier,shopping and restaurants so convenient the host was wonderful and the communication was easy and informative only issue we had was didn't expect to have to have a vehicle to be able to kayak the Emerald Isle and the Sunshine House is great i would recommend and saty here again "

"We would stay here again. It is a duplex turned into 4 rentals, but it was roomy enough for 6 people and 2 dogs. The A/C was ice cold and had a separate air conditioner for each bedroom and living space. The location is great - only about 20 feet from beach access and 0.6 mile walk to shopping and food. The host responded to texts quickly. The people we met were all so nice. This is a rental and city I want to visit again. "
