"We stayed overnight on our way to board Havilla Ferry. The rooms were compact , but all we were looking for was a place to sleep and recover from jet lag. The breakfast was amazing! We could walk easily to shops, restaurants, and places of interest."

"Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Giselda front of house in the Breakfast restaurant was so welcoming it made me feel at home it was amazing how she remembered my name, prety impressive with the number of residents staying there in the hotel. Gave me a lovely send off .Frederick at the bar was professional, hard working and knowledgeable. The Breakfast was amazing with the choice , quality considering how many residents they had staying. "Very nice stay at the Clarion Admiral, which has a first class location across the harbour from the UNESCO world heritage Bryggen houses. Lovely views from the room. Bergen harbour area is easily walkable from the hotel. Rooms are modern and well-equipped. No parking on site however - public indoor parking several hundred meters from hotel."

"The hotel was within walking distance of dining, shopping and the Funicular. The breakfast offered each morning had a broad selection of breads, meats, cheeses and many types of egg dishes. The beds were probably the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I had an accident shortly after arriving in Bergen which necessitated our return home. The hotel extended our stay on a day by day basis while we rearranged flights. Breakfast and evening meal were included and was good. Note that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations but it was not so noisy as to be an unpleasant stay."

"Lovely classy hotel in an excellent area. Everything was walkable, and breakfast was amazing. A la carte and buffet options available. The room was elegant and cosy. It was my Wife's 50th birthday just before we stayed, and the hotel put out some fudge and hand wrote a birthday message that I prepared, on a lovely post card, which my Wife has kept as a keepsake. I wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Opus XVI for a wonderful stay."

"Good position and clean rooms. Only downside was breakfast didn’t start until 0800 on the weekend and we had an 0815 train so couldn’t utilise. The breakfast box supplied instead had a stale sandwich and juice so wasn’t really adequate. But handy location to the train station which is what we wanted. "
