"Had an excellent 4 night stay here. Many national trust and heritage sites were a short drive away. Breakfast was lovely and very well organised every morning. Full English breakfast was delicious and served very quickly. We had a meal at the restaurant one evening and the burgers were really tasty too. The staff are all friendly and service is efficient. Considering the place is next to the A1 it wasn't that busy on the road and we couldn't hear the road noise from our room even with the window open which was great. Lovely view over the countryside at the back too. Beds were really comfy and the room was pleasant with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Only things to note was the shower water pressure was quite low and the door was a bit tricky to lock but otherwise it was a brilliant place to stay and would highly recommend- I would definitely stay again!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent. Only hiccup was no hot water on the first night, which was rectified as quickly as they could. Only suggested improvement would be to add a lamp/light switch next to the bed - it was a bit odd not to have it."
