"Lake Hotel Gistihusid Egisstadir was night 6 for us on our journey around Iceland’s famous ring road. This hotel was seemed a little out of the way but perfectly placed for our itinerary. There was an on-site restaurant, and many groups stayed for the night. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the guests all seemed very happy. We stayed in a ground-floor room that overlooked the countryside. It was remote and peaceful. We had a lovely evening here. "

"Nice hotel in Hofn. We are travelling the southern rim of Iceland, and Hofn was the farthest east we travelled. Staff was friendly and offered assistance. Heated floors in bathrooms were a nice touch. Overall very good experience."
