"Very nice place! Beautiful lakeside view that faces the sunset, with a nice beach/swimming area a minute away on foot, through some trees. Also kayaks available for rent which is a nice amenity, although we didn't have time to use them. House is very clean and spacious, kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with pots/pans, towels, shampoo and soap, etc. Interior design is also very pretty. "The overall house was very nice. It was very clean, neat and organized. Our two complaints would be the road to the house was very desolate and full of ruts and very large holes. The water coming out of the faucets smelled awful. It had a very high sulfuric odor. It also came out dark gray when the faucet was first turned on. We had to let it run for awhile. The water that was supposed to be filtered tasted terrible. We ended up buying bottled water."

"The property was more than we as two people needed but was close to many areas we were visiting including Acadia NP and surrounding areas including Schoodic Penninsula. The property was clean, functional and had history included. It had all the amenities necessary for a week long stay. We ate out so did not cook in but had all the equipment to cook in. Staying off island had its advantages. A couple possible improvements would be a couple of handles going down the cellar for the washer and dryer...

They even had things like a portable high chair and pack n play available for anyone who might travel with little guests and a little dog bed and dog dishes for anyone with a smaller dog. "Four humans and one dog stayed at the BRH while in town for a canoe race! The house was welcoming and perfectly clean. Plenty of towels, blankets and a kitchen stocked with appliances that we cooked in. Nice neighborhood for dog walks and easy to get to grocery stores! Check in and out process was seamless and everything was accurately represented! Would certainly highly recommend!!"
