"Had to escape no power and freezing temps due to ice storm. The lady at the front desk was the kindest wonderful woman I have ever encountered. She was warm, and welcoming and after having come from a horrible disaster it was appreciated. She got myself, my parents and our little dogs situated as we had the last rooms for the area. The rooms are likely in need of a refresher. Investment in the property would prob be a good idea. It’s quite worn in many places and with animals allowed carpets are a wild choice. But there was a warm clean bed, running hot water and power. To say that it is enough - it’s enough. I would not call it the lap of luxury but it’s a safe and clean place to rest when you are in need of safety. "

"We were travelling fron Niagara Falls to Northern Ontario. We got as far as Barrie, and due to the ice storm, hotels were full and no power at gas dtations or thousands of homes. We turned back to stay in Vaughn and decided on thus one. We were tired, frazzled and hungry with kids. Front desk staff was empathetic, rofessiinal and friendly with us. The room had the powder room and shower separate which is awesome. The closet was huge with a light and mirror. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The couch pulled out into a trundle bed. The kids enjoyed the pool. I enjoyed a nice glass of wine. Breakfast was very good! Something for everyone. The morning staff was just as courteous as the evening staff. 10/10. We will without a doubt, stay here again."
