"Our family was looking for a place away from the crowds and on the water. We found one in Judy’s home. She was always there for tips on good places to shop and eat. Francisco, the caretaker, was very friendly and always had a smile for us. Though we didn’t know much Spanish, he was really good with Google translate. The house itself had everything we needed to cook our meals. What impressed me was there were several ways to make a good cup of coffee! And, as I told Judy, the home had a very relaxing vibe to it. "This is a beautiful lush property on a very quiet street in a small beach town. Our kids loved the large pool and the playground. Our villa was clean and comfortable and the host was very responsive and helpful."

"This Hacienda is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are stunning, so much to see and explore. The little casita rooms were very clean and well equipped. The staff were wonderful. We stayed here as a family of four and can’t wait to return. Next time we would bring our own food as there’s a kitchen in the Casita, and the restaurant is only opened for breakfast which we didn’t know. Everything was wonderful. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, and a time to relax in gorgeous surroundings then this is the place. It’s also only one hour from Merida, Izamal and the beach. So a great location for a longer term stay. "

"Cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay in Santa Clara. The outdoor space at the property is simply amazing. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and taking the kayaks and paddle boards out in the ocean during low tide. We played countless family sand volleyball games and the outdoor family room / palapa is such a great space for eating, playing games and relaxing. The hosts are so responsive, kind and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed, arranged tours and meals for us, bought the kids an authentic piñata for NYE, and even made sure we could watch the college playoff games. "

"Excellent host and cleaning crew. I forgot some of my belongings at the house after I checked out. I messaged Alberto and I got my stuff back from the lady that cleans the house without a problem. Easy check in/check out, quiet neighborhood and the restaurant The Palapa that’s a block away from the house serves delicious food."

"Chabihau is a very smaĺl coastal gulf village. Limited groceries, restaurants, yes, but wonderful scenery around the area. Coastal road further east and the various small roads leading directly to the inland market towns give you a true flavor of this area of Yucatan. You can't find it anywhere else. And FLAMINGOS!! Wow. While we were there, 10 days, some stormy weather, we saw literally hundreds and hundreds in the estuary that borders the sea all along from Progreso to Chabihau. I have never seen so many in all our 32 years of staying along this gulf coast area. Fabulous. One is really coming to see the estuary, the salt pans, the tiny fishing villages, the inland market towns, and the native people. And to have a very nice house to come back to, right on the main highway, and enjoy some impressive sunsets."
