"The rooms/hallways are very old. The lobby looks to be newly renovated or at the least well taken care of. There is a unique old Hollywood vibe that would look really cool with renovations. I think the lobby gives you a false idea of how the rooms will look. There were rust stains on the tub. No lotions. Broken coffee maker. Furniture is fading. "Highly recommend this historical hotel upgraded with modern comfort. It is only steps away from another historical icon the Union Station, and also many restaurants. The hotel was tastefully decorated for the holiday Season. The hall ways were decorated with many old fashioned paintings and newspaper illustrations. The beds were comfortable and towels were fluffy. We enjoyed our stay and have recommended it to our friends as the top choice in Denver. "

"Both girls at the front desk at check in and Check out were very nice and helpful. We appreciated the water bottles at check in as well. We were a little Confused as to why we needed to use our key card to operate the lights in the room. There was also long , Black curly hair in the shower from someone before us. "The Maven is now my favorite place to stay in Denver. The location is great, the rooms are cozy with thoughtful additions (such as a refillable water carafe, and water refill stations in the hallways). The staff were so helpful and kind. Its great to have so many places on site, such as the Milk Market, coffee shops, bars and even a few clothes boutiques. "
