"First the property is nice, good location and very clean. When I booked it for a week (paid in full), the owner refunded 2/3 of the fee, then asked me to resend the money. He tried to add it to the original bill so it looks like it was much larger amount. Seemed innocent, but to be sure I contacted Vrbo and they confirmed in email, I only owed the original and to go ahead and pay him again. Seemed fine. He was a little weird about insisting on meeting us, but he left us quite a bit of food....

"On arrival, we were put into the wrong apartment for the first night. We then changed to the apartment that had been advertised. It wasn’t as clean as we are used to especially in Dubai; the floor and sofa was stained and the glass on the balcony was filthy. My biggest concern was that we didn’t have gas throughout the trip so if we did wasn’t to cook, it would have been difficult. There was no kettle either so we could not boil water. This was resolved with a kettle being supplied to us but...
