Johnson City is a small town but is a great home base for all of the wonderful activities that TX Hill Country has to offer. "

"Staff is very responsive, property is quiet and very conducive for relaxation. Cabin’s outdoor living area/ hot tub area is a little outdated, but we will be back and check out a different cabin next time. For long weekend a cabin facing the creek would provide more privacy. Grocery stores are very close to the property in case you forgot anything."

"This seems to be one of the bigger cabins available on the property...which is lovely btw...huge oak tree to sit under and a path to the spring's stream and a natural grotto. The full size bed was comfortable, recommend bringing pillows. The breads for breakfast were pumpkin and blueberry...and yummy. There's a nice table for four or more...we had friends over to play cards...a great time was had by all"

"We really enjoyed staying at Royal Gate Retreat! The comfortable well furnished tiny house was our home for the month of February to get away for colder winter weather in Northeast Kansas. We enjoyed front porch sitt'n! Liked that the roads were paved in the quiet country sitting. Great for bike riding and going for walks in the neighborhood. "This property is the PERFECT place to get away from it all. The house is fully furnished with everything modern, a huge smart tv, wifi access, full stocked kitchen, big refrigerator with ice maker, a laundry room with large size washer and dryer, roomy bathroom, plenty of storage space for long stays and a huge comfortable bed.The wifi has good bandwidth, easily enough to do conference calls or video conferences or any other remote work you may want to do.The real magic is outside. "Space felt clean, and there were no bad odors or smells. Small things around the place - missing toilet paper holder, no overhead light in bedroom, lack of dishes for use. Overall though, a great spot! If most people are going out each day or night, and Iy want to use the gym or pool occasionally, this was a great place!"
