"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter. "Lovely little pub, We stayed 2 nights. Barry the Barman and the owners etc were all so lovely and accommodating. Our room (twin) was very spacious, the beds very comfortable. Toiletries and towels provided. The breakfast was fantastic. Lovely pub and lovely little town to visit. "
