"So cosy and welcoming. Just a 10 minutes walk from station with cases (at 10:30pm) felt very safe and lovely host. Beds were sooo comfy, we all slept like logs. "

"Very well run set up. Ive stayed here 3 times, rooms are newly lined out & furnished. Alison is a good cook. Quiet locality but near enough to junctions for motorway convenience. Secure parking area. Competetively priced. "

"Charming hotel with equally charming host! Spacious, comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Also, a really nice shower! Highly recommend! "

"If there's a b & b anywhere where the hosts are more attentlve, i've yet to visit it. A real gem of a place, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the town centre make this a great place to come. We have been twice now and there is sure to be a third when we revisit Dumfries."

"We stayed 1 night. Our studio--sitting room, large bathroom, and bedroom--was very spacious with many amenities: coffee/water/materials for eating in. Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "

"I had a great stay,I booked the unit a day before my arrival and once booked I received all the check in info immediately, no key was needed all acess is through a keypad system which is nice.The unit was very spacious and cozy,I really liked the kitchen set-up,Carlisle is a wonderful city and fun to explore and the apartment was only a 5 minute walk to the train station."

"The Stables was very well equipes, clean and tidy. Had we been at a warmer time of year, we would have made more use of the gardens. Great location for walking. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a few days"
