"This was a 5-star property. It was a tony but quiet neighborhood even allowed us to rescue a dog in the road. Didn’t have a rental car. Instead relied on the No. 47 and 32 buses with occasional tram and train service. Less than 10-minute flat walk from the home. Bought a two-week bus pass and got our money’s worth (£33). Julia and Fiona were gems, responding to the few calls and emails we sent quickly and courteously. Would stay there again in a hot minute!"

"Had a fab stay at the Carmel apartments, the apartment we stayed in was very spacious, warm and everything was of great quality, everything is thought of, with lovely touches around and the garden is beautiful too. "We had a great stay here. It's in a good location with a bust stop just round the corner. There's also a 24hr Mcdonalds and a greggs a few minutes awy, which was perfect for my teenage daughter. The flat has eveything you'd need. Ironing boars and iron came in useful. There's plenty of space, it's clean and tidy, with quirky decor that's a bit Banksyesque. Loved it. Thank you"

"Great place to stay! Everything was delivered as promised and the quality is exactly what I would expect. Not everything is tip top shape but it was perfect for us. A place to crash, shower and then hit the golf course. Had trouble getting in, thought the pin code for the lockbox I had been given was wrong. Turns out I was at the wrong address, the street right next to it has the same name but Crescent instead of Road... I called the support at like 9pm on a sunday and they picked up right...

"Good amenities - the wifi worked, the shower had good temperature & pressure, the beds were comfortable. The town is lovely - right out the back of the building, you can walk to Linlithgow Palace by taking the trail around the little lake. There are restaurants & cafes close by. "

"This apartment was a really great home base for us while we explored edinburgh area. The distance from town created a nice bubble of peace for us than if we had stayed in downtown. The distance from town also provided us considerable cost savings. The apartment and hosts were great. Having a private parking lot was really appreciated, and there is a bakery right next door. We ran out of the toilet paper provided, and there is a funky smell in the stairwell, other than that it was a very pleasant...
