"My family and I decided to book the black barn for Christmas and my sister’s 50th birthday week. The location, cleanliness, indoor pool area, and views were exactly what we were looking for. The owners were very attentive and replied quickly. We will definitely stay at this property again next time we’re in Dubuque to visit my sister. One more perk for skier’s is that Sundown mountain is less than 5 minutes away. Everything was perfect. Thanks again!!"

"My family rented this home to all be together to celebrate my mom's birthday! There was plenty of space, the house is huge. We spent most of our time on the middle level in the kitchen, game room, and theater. The theater seats were very comfortable and it was the perfect place for some downtime. The only negative is the train close by, and with it being an old home, voices travel and the floors creaked, so it could be pretty loud, but that was to be expected. The location was great and close...

"Located right downtown in Dubuque, this is perfectly secluded on a side street up against the bluff. Quiet and idyllic. The house is well apportioned, which suits itself well to making meals in. But it’s also close to several good places to eat. The beds and linens were comfortable and the furniture was all in good shape and well suited to a gathering of up to six. An added bonus was the bathroom on the first floor, which is different from many of these kinds of row houses. "

"My sibs and spouses gathered in Dubuque this year for our annual get together. We agreed that this was the best house for our group in the 12 years we’ve been doing this. The lower level was perfect for watching playoff games for some, while room to sit and play games for others. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Most notably, the view of the city and river were terrific. Congrats to the host on their exceptional renovation of this classic home. "

"We had the best time. We went for the holiday parade on Thanksgiving weekend. The house was as shown and very comfortable and homey. Management was fantastic to work with and very responsive. The home was very clean and ready for us to arrive. The location can't be beat as its just up the stairs from Main Street. We were back and forth many times. Loved it."
