"This was a long term stay of 2 months and I couldn’t have asked for much more. The host was very responsive and helpful with any needs and questions I had. The house is in great shape and I will never forget those sunset views! The neighborhood is 15-20 minutes from Lufkin, but there are dollar general stores just a couple minutes away. Highly recommend for long and short term trips!"

The third bedroom is a loft, and the third bath was not accessible during our stay. Roomy Kitchen with island for food prep. Nice refrigerator with water filtration and ice maker."

"These grounds are BEAUTIFUL, so peaceful, relaxing, the gardens were so well kept, like a story book! The history is amazing! We had 10 people stay for my daughter’s SFA graduation and they all want to return, because it was such a wonderful place to stay, so relaxing and peaceful. (It was about 15 minutes south of Lufkin and about 25 more minutes to Nacogdoches, but we’ll worth the drive! We will be back♥️. Great coffee bars, teas, salt and pepper, dish soap, dish washer soap, everything...

The Schotts have a beautiful home that they share with those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and just relax and enjoy peace and quiet at the lake. We had a great time fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn, the weather was great except for our last day and the waters got choppy, but overall a wonderful time. This year we were able to catch 55 catfish,white perch, and bass. Had our family fish fry Thursday night and everyone had a great time. Look...

"This was a lovely nature getaway. The drive was easy from Houston and there was plenty for the kids to do - from games availabile inside, to exploring the pond and the nearby forest. We spotted a bald eagle, heard coyotes and saw a few fireflies at night. There is plenty of sleeping room for a group with several children."
