"I understand the country has blackouts, but the hotel doesn't have a backup power generator; not even for the reception; therefore, there is no lights for the Wi-Fi. The hotel obtains the water from the water well by pump; therefore, because there is no power, there is no water for the toilets, showers, etc. The hydromassage pool water was cold."

"Excellent stay. This is a family run hotel so very unofficial and welcoming making solo impromptu travel much easier when any reservation changes occur. As a solo traveler I felt extremely safe staying there and felt more like home than a hotel. One of the owners was also immensely helpful towards helping me arrange last minute tours I wanted to do and really made my stay in Banos exceptional. "Nice little place up the hill from the center. Good value for money, can’t top that. Hot water takes a minute to start but it’s there. The hill is steep but you could taxi it if you want. Front desk people were very kind and helpful. I wish they had a room with a kitchenette. Otherwise it was great. "

"We enjoyed our 4 night stay. The location is ideal and the property is very amazing. It is like staying in an art museum. Karl was a wonderful host…except he didn’t let me win at backgammon lol. Breakfast was excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again. "
