"The place was okay, but a bit rundown. We went as a family, and I would not recommend doing so as there is only one shared shower for the entire place, which makes the stay a bit inconvenient. We had two rooms -- one was renovated and looked okay, while the other was more rundown and not so nice. The toilets upstairs were also a bit old, but the one downstairs was renovated and much nicer. "There are two rooms in total, one is mixed room and the other is female room. Since my friend and I were the only guests that day, the owner treated us very good and very willing to provide information about nikko to us! And the hostel is quite close to JR and tobu station. We visited there in winter, and it was snowing, but inside the hostel was very warm, heaters and warm water bags were provided. I must stay there next time when travel to nikko."
