"When you first pull up, the hotel doesn't look all that attractive. The front desk people are very friendly. If you know Portuguese it helps. They do have one or two people that speak broken English. The rooms were more than I expected for the hotel. They had air conditioning and a safe in the room which was nice. The bathroom looked like it had been recently remodeled with a nice sized shower and tile all around. My only complaint about the shower was we could never really get any actual hot...

Upon complaining, I was sent to a second room which was also basic and windowless. Finally, I got a "superior" room as in the published pictures but it was half-buried (see picture).
