A few things can be improved given the price. - Breakfast is very bland and could use improvement—fresher breads (ideally baked daily), ripe fruit (two days I was there, the fruit served wasn't ripe), better training of the chef who makes omelets; they were often overcooked; have an option for adding cheese to the omelets which wasn't available. For $17, the breakfast was wanting. - The room was musty, likely related to the high humidity environment...

"We booked the Zanzibar Hotel in February 2019 for a stay in August. The week before we travelled we contacted the hotel to request an airport transfer, which their website said they offered. They replied to our Expedia message by saying that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment but we would be staying in a 'sister' hotel called the Tausi Palace and a driver would pick us up from teh airport and take us there. "- Hotel in great condition, rooms really big and the decor all around the property is lovely. - A/c in the rooms and the power works most of the time and they have a backup generator. - Staff super friendly and knowledgeable - Internet is okay.
