"HOSHINOYA resort is a great place for relaxation. The environment filled with natural forest and maple trees. The service was exceptional. However, there were mosquitoes problem possibly harvested by the pond in the property. Hopefully the hotel can find solution to help with this problem. Otherwise, this resort is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. "

"The hotel is very clean with beautiful view of golf course and mountain, especially during the summer and autumn. Not convenient for tourist as it's quite far from the station with limited bus schedule and food options. The room decor is also outdated. Will recommend the hotel for golfers and not tourists."

Also the food was incredibly expensive - JPY8,000 for a dinner bento box (looked like something that would cost around jpy 1,500 at any other place). I have been living in Japan over 25 years and I would not recommend the hotel because it was so overpriced. I drive a ferrari but otherwise i focus on value for money and this was certainly not value for money. Staff...

"This is a very good hotel. Everything was excellent. Unfortunately, the “American breakfast” is not much of a diversion from the Japanese breakfast. The American breakfast needs a serious upgrade. That aside, and excellent hotel. "
