"Perfect stay. I loved everything about Kars Oteli. The building is one of the few remaining old Russian mansions in Kars, my room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful long outside balcony. The bed was superb. The room had a fridge, kettle and coffee machine, also a cafetière. A good breakfast. Most of all Metin Bey was excellent, he found me a Turkish tour (museums, Ani, lake çıldır) for the next day, and helped with every query. He kindly packed me a good breakfast for the doğu ekspresi - lucky as there's no food on the train (only on the tourist one). I highly recommend staying here. "

"Katerina sarayı definitely exceeds expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the beautiful city of Kars. An iconic hotel thoughtfully decorated A perfect balance of comfort and hospitality! All of the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at home. I don’t remember the name of each one of them but they were all professional and nice always ready to help and assist. Miss Melisa, Ebru and Mr Erhan were extremely helpful with everything! Oh not to forget the breakfast was so delicious! What truly sets Katerina Sarayi apart for me is Niko (the cat) and the outstanding service! I may have repeatedly emphasized on the service and hospitality but having stayed in many different hotels around the world I’ve never came across such a beautiful team! Looking forward to go back! "Lovely hotel with a gorgeous Turkish Hammam and pool in a convenient location. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, with many suggestions on places to explore. Most sites of interest can be accessed within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Deniz is a wonderful person and the house is a very pleasant place to be. The surrounding area is a mess, but it is really in the center of the city. I can't understand how a city could let this happen, but it is what it is. It isn't cheap compared to some hotels in the area, but for me it was worth it."
