"We checked into our room and it was so barebones it was unbelievable. The room was dark, the bedding looked very worn, and there were no pictures on the walls. It was stripped bare of everything. It was so bad we left the hotel and went to Sneek and stayed at another hotel. When we left we told the person at the reception desk we were leaving, and why, and they acted as if they could care less that weren't satisfied with the room. "We stayed eight nights during which we were joined by another couple for four nights The apartment provides more than adequate private and shared space decorated in a bohemian nautical style with proviso that, being Dutch, it all works! We used the balcony most days and the local bar restaurant four times. Recommend Catharina is extremely helpful.
