DAKU ISLAND in SIARGAO, Philippines is one of the stops on the islands tour which includes the islands of GUYAM, NAKED and DAKU and is usually the last and furthest stop although still only about 20 mins by boat from the dock in General Luna. There are various tour operators and hotels that provide tours but it is also possible to just turn up at the dock and get a local boatman to take you for P1500 (£21.42) which saves planning ahead and also gives you the option of changing the island order to avoid bad weather or crowds for example.

"When going to a tropical island, this resort is what you think of when you imagine paradise. The property itself is incredible, amazing views from as far as layout of the property grounds themselves, up to design of the vilas as well. Staff is incredibly nice while also being accommodating for any request small or big. Having only 5 vilas on the property really gives you the piece and serenity your looking for. Would stay again and highly recommended."

From the easy shuttle transport from and to the airport, to the refreshing complimentary drink as we waited for our room to be ready and the outstanding service from the luggage attendants to the front desk. Everything was amazing. Location is right near town, completely walkable within 5-10min or just rent a motorbike, which we did for $600 peso’s per day ($12-13 per day) we booked the executive beach front suite which we HIGHLY recommend. "Great place. The atmosphere of the resort is amazing. You cant tell there are other guests since the trees provide so much privacy. Again, the ambiance with the trees and natural woods makes it so lovely. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The common areas are gorgeous and have such a great view of sunset. Didnt bother eating at the restaurant cos of prices; but its just Siargao prices in general. Massage place across the street is good. "
