DAKU ISLAND in SIARGAO, Philippines is one of the stops on the islands tour which includes the islands of GUYAM, NAKED and DAKU and is usually the last and furthest stop although still only about 20 mins by boat from the dock in General Luna. There are various tour operators and hotels that provide tours but it is also possible to just turn up at the dock and get a local boatman to take you for P1500 (£21.42) which saves planning ahead and also gives you the option of changing the island order to avoid bad weather or crowds for example.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mad Monkey Hostel Siargao and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who were always willing to help. "Beautiful resort but needs a bit more Tlc. In a quiet area of general Luna. Ideal if you have a ride like a scooter. Price is very reasonable and staff are very friendly. "

"Staff was very nice and accommodating. Rooms and bedding kept clean. Beautiful pool, and grounds. Food was good, but dining service was lacking. Prices- excellent. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend to others."

"The staff could not have been more professional and kinder. My only complaint is way too many rude westerners, but that is due to the area, not the resorts' fault in any way, just simply nails on the chalkboard to have to listen to western whining, true bummer."

"When going to a tropical island, this resort is what you think of when you imagine paradise. The property itself is incredible, amazing views from as far as layout of the property grounds themselves, up to design of the vilas as well. Staff is incredibly nice while also being accommodating for any request small or big. Having only 5 vilas on the property really gives you the piece and serenity your looking for. Would stay again and highly recommended."
