"Was in the area for a birthday party. I know this area well and can say when you walk in the house and then begin to explore the floors, its much larger than it appears in the pictures. Location is 5 min walk to the Royal Hotel and Grocery store.Coming in from overseas arriving early, Clare was super accommodating. Plenty of off street parking. While I didn't use the kitchen its well stocked. You will not be disappointed. "

"Kendal is a great place for heading out to all areas of the Lake District. And Mint Cake Mews is perfectly placed… a 2 minute walk into Kendal and a 5 minute drive to the main arterial routes to Windermere, Keswick, etc. The property has been tastefully modernised throughout, the accommodation was comfortable, and easy to keep clean for dog owners. While the house does show its age and can be a bit humid in certain areas, we were lucky with the weather and found the house to be well-heated. "Big house with great sized rooms and plenty space for our 15 adults and 5 children. Hot tub was great. Living space/bar area very roomy and open. The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. The kitchen is a professional kitchen (for the weekday BnB purpose I guess) so not quite the social space that you're used to in a more traditional house. "Millbrook Lodge is a lovely house - it has everything you want and more from a holiday home. We did have an issue with a beeping smoke alarm which unfortunately did not get resolved while we were there which is why I cannot give it a 5 star review."
