"I liked the position of the intercontinental but found the facilities lacking. I do realize that one restaurant was closed for refurbishment but the one that was open left food wise a lot to be desired."

"This is a good 5 star choice located on the Hyatt Regency beach strip. Really it is a competitor with the Hyatt but with much classier rooms - especially if you book the Impressive Suites and above. Some rooms have their own pool $$$. The service is terrific and, importantly, the aircon is adjustable. The family pool is not quite big enough in our view. And the hotel is on a very narrow block - unlike the sprawling Hyatt a few doors up. The service is impeccable and a great restaurant. Good for...

"We truely enjoyed our stay at this small boutique resort. The staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Our room, which is a stand alone building, was large and the decor gave a sense of warmth and privacy. The grounds and pool area is very tropical and well maintained. Our only criticism would be that you need to run the water for a long time to get the hot water to run through, but we were on holiday so there was no rush. "
