"Checking in was easy both at the gate for parking pass and at the lobby for check in. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend 4 wheel drive if visiting after snow or ice storm. We made it up the first night but slid several times due to ice (the sign at the bottom did say use 4WD). The shuttle service from parking lot to the building is a SUV worked fine for pickups and drop offs, we never had to wait more than 2 to 3 minutes. "Our cabin was as it was described. The property was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. We brought a crockpot and were surprised to see that one was actually provided. The beds were very comfortable. The location seems remote but it's only a 20 minute drive to Boone primarily due to the long, climbing road.
