"From the outside this accommodation does not look promising- a ground floor property in a block of council flats, the shared hallway is pretty bleak. But the flat itself was fine, a bit basic but it had everything we needed, nice and clean, plenty of towels, quiet despite being next to a busy road. "The apartment is located in a good spot to access town, the views from the apartment are stunning however, the apartment itself was not clean. The bathroom had mould growing, the towels didn’t smell great, the kitchen was tidy and had all the dishes we needed but in some places sticky and dirty. The couch in the living room was filled with crumbs and stains that were not ours! The cloth headboard in the bedroom wasn’t clean but the bedding and sheets were clean and smelled fresh. "

"No contact from Homeaway regarding getting keys etc. Hours spent on the phone to various "customer service". Found out myself that it was managed by cottages. com. Logged in to their website to find all the information there. Probably spent too much money by booking through Homeaway rather than direct with Cottages. Com. Views were stunning, great location. "This place was perfect four the four of us and could have easily accommodated 4 more. Everything was there and communication was easy and responsive. The place was very quiet and clean and has great views. We were able to have my aunts and uncles over for some guitar playing and singing and there was plenty of seating. "We had a lovely time in the property, the house was great and the welcome basket was a perfect touch! Part of the reason we chose to come was for its proximity to the two Machrihanish courses but we didn't quite realise how great the beaches are as well!
