The situation with the water supply was quite challenging, but the cottage itself, location and area more than made up for this.

Perfect hideaway!
Absolutely stunning location. Beautiful cottage, so well equipped and interior to a really high standard. Visited by the seal in the bay Christmas Day. Joan is a fantastic host, storm Gerrit was incredible to watch tucked away by a warm fire and this is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Highly recommend. Thanks Joan.

Lovely cozy cottage in a stunning location
The cottage is very well equipped: nice little kitchen with everything you need, TV for evening entertainment if the weather isn't great, log burner for cozy nights in. The views out of every window are wonderful, either the sea or a live little garden. The location is amazing too, on a very quiet road opposite a lovely little beach, with views looking across the sea to Arran - perfect for wildlife watching. Not too far from Campbeltown or Tarbert either for amenities, and some lovely walks and beaches close by. Spent a lot of my time either watching the sea with a coffee in the kitchen, or out on the beach with Willow (the dog) who loved playing with the waves!

A perfect escape
Grogport Cottage lies in a small bay with a few other properties. The view from the front windows looks out to Arran. We loved looking out for the two seals that frequent the bay. A very comfortable base from which to explore the area.

So peaceful!
A really lovely stay on Kintyre Peninsula. We absolutely love Grogport Cottage - this was our second visit and we hope to return again in the future. The property is only one of 6 in the hamlet so you pretty much get the beach to yourself (look out for the seal!). The cottage has stunning views over the beach and across to Arran. It is extremely well equipped and comfortable - a home from home. If you want peace & tranquility, this is the property for you!

Lovely cottage with pretty much it's own beach
Thanks, Joan, for a fabulous time. The cottage is really well appointed with lots of delightful, unexpected touches that show your love of the place both inside and out. It's also really well placed for Saddell, Tarbert, Campbeltown and the Mull etc. We loved looking out for the seals and birds each morning. We'd feel privileged to return one day. Nige and Gerry
