"What an amazing stay. Dauphin island isn’t a heavy tourist location. There isn’t 50 souvenirs shops. It is a place to relax, a place that you can enjoy slowing down. We found something to do every day. Going to the aquarium on a rainy day or going to Mobile a short drive to tour the USS Alabama. But what was the most fun was hanging out with Joey and Liz with Slaty Dog rental and jet skiing with dolphins and sting rays. The cottage was a little dated but perfect for what we needed. "

"Communication with host was excellent as was the check in and out process. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The location is beautiful with a magnolia tree, pine tree and wisteria in full bloom hanging over the fence (which is in need of repair—stated in listing). It was easy walking distance to the beach—approximately 0.5 miles to the middle beach parking lot and another 0.4 miles to the water’s edge. It is a quiet neighborhood. The floor had not been swept well prior to us...

"The floor needs replaced!! Toes were stubbed, almost cut. Lost power, need a flashlight or generator. No detergent, No iron, No data whatsoever for internet!!!!! That is ridiculous to try to watch a movie. Remove games that have no game pieces, Leave paper towel roll, leave toilet paper, leave kleenex, leave garbage bags. For that price..why were these not supplied? You should show the floor online."

"The house is well suited for two couples (with a couple of young kids) or an entire family. Kitchen has plenty of pots/pans, utensils, plates, glasses, toasters and so on. Photos represent the property accurately. We’d encourage visitors to walk about a mile west and explore the undeveloped end of the island. Likewise, check out the bird sanctuary. The ferry to Gulf Shores area is fun. "

"Great location! The house was well supplied with everything we needed. Clear instructions were written out on how to use the TVs and the thermostat. Easy entry and lots of beach stuff in the shed."
