"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was tasy and well presented. There was a problem with the radiators in our room, but the hotel gave us a fan heater. There was no hook on the bathroom door. This needed to be replaced. We had a room looking out onto the main road, but it was not noisy. The room was beautiful, especially as we like oldy worldy furniture and atmosphere. The Christmas decorations were all taken down by breakfast on New Year's Day, which was a shame. "The whole experience was top quality from the moment we stepped in, beer selection in the bar was excellent (something for everyone) the room was super clean and cosy with everything you needed (shower was superb) bed was super comfy as well!! We also dined there in the evening with a great and varied choice on offer!!! Big up to the chef as the food was top quality. We will definitely be returning soon even if it’s just to dine out!!!"

"We had a lovely stay here. So Christmassy but even other times of year so cosy felt homely. Reception was very welcoming room was decorated lovely and really felt like a retreat away from it all. Fires and Christmas trees . We ate in the restaurant and all the food was hot and delicious. Location was very central for village visits and walks it was tough to choose whether to go out for walks or just stay in the hotel and relax. We are already planning our next trip back"

"When we first arrived at this cottage, we couldn't believe our eyes. It is a large house but with a cosy cottage feel and is so clean. Upon arrival we found that milk and a bottle of wine had been left in the fridge for us which was a lovely surprise. The house was extremely warm and this was without using the log burner. Everything had been decorated to a high standard and it was a pleasure staying here. Burley itself is a quaint little village with a couple of pubs, tea rooms and a few shops....
