"Our room had recently been refurbished and may also have been an upgrade (ask for room numbers 10-16). Facilities and decor were excellent, with a walk-in shower, comfortable bed and free parking. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but the restaurant was very busy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was of a good standard. Staff were friendly and professional so we would have no hesitation in recommending the Royal Hotel."

"The staff at The fairfield have always been nice and very helpful and the only complaint we have is about room 51 which is classed as Executive but it is a standard room with a small outdated heater on the wall."

"We’ve stayed here a few times over the years and it never disappoints and the staff are so welcoming, they are a credit to the hotel. It was a flying visit sadly, hopefully next time we can stay longer. We were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise. "
